Chapter 5: Key terms and facts

Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA)

LAHSA plays a critical role in implementing the solutions that voters approve and fund while making sure the plan to end homelessness in L.A. County is carried out.

L.A. County voters passed two ballot initiatives in 2016 and 2017 to fund supportive housing and services–Proposition HHH in the City of L.A. and Measure H in L.A. County.

Proposition HHH is a bond measure funding the development of supportive housing in L.A. City. Measure H is a quarter-cent sales tax that funds supportive services throughout L.A. County, including efforts to prevent homelessness, to coordinate entry systems and outreach services, and to subsidize supportive and affordable housing initiatives.
