Community Meeting

The Advocates Documentary Screening & Panel, Pomona

July 11, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a film screening and panel discussion of The Advocates at dA Center for the Arts in Pomona. The event is free and open to the community. Learn about the crisis of homelessness in LA and how you can help through an intimate lens into the tireless work of homeless advocates. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. with light refreshments.

The film screening takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., followed by a panel discussion moderated by Director Rémi Kessler and featuring an Everyone In organizer, Shawn Morrissey (Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement, Union Station Homeless Services), Benita DeFrank (Neighborhood Services Director, City of Pomona) and Rudy Salinas (Director of Outreach, Housing Works), an advocate from the film. All are invited and RSVPs are required.

This screening is the by-product of a partnership between The Advocates Director Remi Kessler and United Way LA’s Everyone in Campaign. The film is now being screened throughout LA County through August 2019.
