Long Beach City Council Action on Emergency Housing

The Long Beach City Council will be looking at the Emergency Housing Incentive Program, a program that will make 500 units of emergency housing available by converting empty motel units for our most vulnerable unhoused populations. This is a major step towards ending chronic and senior homelessness in Long Beach, and the City has the rare opportunity to use Federal and State emergency dollars to bring people indoors and into safety in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
