The Advocates Documentary Screening & Panel, Whittier

August 9, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a film screening and panel discussion of The Advocates at the Whittier Depot. The event is free and open to the community. Learn about the crisis of homelessness in LA and how you can help through an intimate lens into the tireless work of homeless advocates. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. with light refreshments. The film screening takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., followed by a panel discussion featuring an Everyone In organizer, Vanessa Sedano (Housing Program Director, The Whole Child), Rémi Kessler (film director), Irene Muro (Whittier First Day, Executive Director), and the advocates from the film. All are invited and RSVPs are required.

This screening is the by-product of a partnership between The Advocates Director Remi Kessler and United Way LA’s Everyone in Campaign. The film is now being screened throughout LA County through August 2019.
