The Advocates Documentary Screening & Panel Discussion, West Adams

August 13 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a film screening and panel discussion of The Advocates Susan Miller Dorsey Senior High School. The event is free and open to the community. Learn about the crisis of homelessness in LA and how you can help through an intimate lens into the tireless work of homeless advocates. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. with light refreshments. The film screening takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., followed by a panel discussion featuring Reverend Oliver Buie (Holman United Methodist Church), Reverend Eddie Anderson (LA Voice), Rémi Kessler (Director, “The Advocates”), Adolfo Alzuphar (Organizer, Everyone In), advocates, and local community leaders. All are invited and RSVPs are required.

This screening is the by-product of a partnership between The Advocates Director Rémi Kessler and United Way LA’s Everyone in Campaign. The film is now being screened throughout LA County through September 2019.
