Join us for a film screening and panel discussion of The Advocates at California State University, Northridge. The event is free and open to the community. Learn about the crisis of homelessness in LA and how you can help through an intimate lens into the tireless work of homeless advocates. There will be a reception at 6 p.m. with light refreshments. The film screening takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m., followed by a panel discussion featuring an Everyone In organizer, Kris Freed (Chief Program Officer, LA Family Housing), Angel Quintanilla (Housing Specialist, County Department of Mental Health), Rémi Kessler (Director, “The Advocates”), and Rudy Salinas (Chief Program Officer, The Center at Blessed Sacrament). All are invited and RSVPs are required.
This screening is the by-product of a partnership between The Advocates Director Remi Kessler and United Way LA’s Everyone in Campaign. The film is now being screened throughout LA County through August 2019.
