DESCRIPTION:Communities in Peril: A Call to Action for 2020 and Beyond is an annual meeting for the Empowerment Congress\, which is comprised of a broad-based and diverse constituency of community residents\, representatives of the Neighborhood Councils and block clubs\, social and human service organizations\, academic and religious institutions\, business interests and individual citizens. \nThis is a space for community members to be able to sit at the table\, to have conversations and to create policy in the areas of interest with their officials.

The event will raise awareness of the dire housing crisis in Venice that threatens the survival of its creative community. Angels Incognito will be also be selling several paintings with proceeds going to Venice Community Housing\, a nonprofit organization with a 30-year mission to reduce homelessness and maximize housing for low-income people\, including artists. The event will feature live music and barbeque from Black Sugar Rib.
