All families are invited to take part in educational activities and gain information about social services. \nThis year’s recurring theme\, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)\, honors the region’s rich cultural history while promoting literacy\, education and access to basic-need resources. The event features live entertainment—including a special performance by Selenamos and an appearance by Elephant & Piggie—as well as book signings\, storytelling\, meet and greets with authors\, book giveaways\, and fun activities for the whole family. \nThis year’s event is sponsored by City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks\, City National Bank\, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Office of Joe Buscaino. In addition to the array of family activities\, the festival features a resource fair where there will be opportunities to purchase books and connect with local organizations about services in education\, health care\, and financial stability. \nWilmington\, an historically underserved community\, is nestled between Torrance and Long Beach in L.A. County’s South Bay. All families are invited to take part in educational activities and gain information about social services. \nThis year’s recurring theme\, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)\, honors the region’s rich cultural history while promoting literacy\, education and access to basic-need resources. The event features live entertainment—including a special performance by Selenamos and an appearance by Elephant & Piggie—as well as book signings\, storytelling\, meet and greets with authors\, book giveaways\, and fun activities for the whole family. \nThis year’s event is sponsored by City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks\, City National Bank\, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Office of Joe Buscaino. In addition to the array of family activities\, the festival features a resource fair where there will be opportunities to purchase books and connect with local organizations about services in education\, health care\, and financial stability. \nWilmington\, an historically underserved community\, is nestled between Torrance and Long Beach in L.A. County’s South Bay.
